Pool Safety Inspections Brisbane

Pool Safety Inspection for Greater Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast & SE QLD

Avoid the Fines & Protect Your Family with a Pool Safety Inspection

Under QLD state law, all swimming pool owners must comply with new pool safety legislation, or face fines of up to $16,500.  (For companies, this can exceed $82,500!)  Happily, this can easily be prevented with a simple pool fence inspection.

Queensland’s new pool requirements – introduced to avoid tragic and preventable child drownings – include:

  • Secure fencing with no weak areas, gaps of more than 10cm or easy-to-climb spots.
  • A reliable gate that always closes itself.
  • Child-proof covers and screens for any door or window leading directly into the fenced-off area.
  • A compliant CPR Sign with easy-to-follow first aid instructions.
  • Power point covers for nearby electrical outlets.

Queensland pool owners have until  30 November, 2015 to comply with the new safety rules.  (Earlier deadlines to sales, purchases, leases, shared pools and accommodation operators. Learn more.)

As experienced, fully licensed pool fence inspectors, The Pool Fence People can officially issue a  Pool Safety Certificate.

If you are buying, selling or leasing a property with a swimming pool, you are now required by law to present this certificate before settlement. (Sellers unable to present this must present a Form 36  notice declaring its absence.  Learn more about the new pool legislation.)
